Changelog
What's new in SewingERP
What we have shipped, newest first, with the day each change went live. A new feature is added here in the same release that ships it.
Phone cards for orders, alterations and stock
On a phone, the orders, alterations and stock lists show as cards with the key details instead of a table that runs off the screen.
Location filter on the dashboard
In a shop with more than one location, the dashboard shows the appointments, attendance and stock of the location you pick, and remembers the choice on that device.
Contact form without a required phone
The contact form on the website asks for your email, the phone number is optional, and shorter phone numbers from other countries are accepted.
How your data is kept, on the front page
The home page and the pricing page list facts you can check: servers in Frankfurt, every shop kept separate in the database with an encrypted backup every night, export any time, no ads and no AI training. Atelier is marked as the recommended plan.
All the guides on one page
One page lists every guide, each guide ends with links to more, and this What's new page shows what changed in the product and when.
Alterations in the demo shop
The demo shop now has five alterations at different stages: one delivered and paid, one running late, one ready for pickup today, and two on garments not bought at the shop.
Type a signature instead of drawing it
In the signature box you can type your full name instead of drawing it, for anyone who finds signing with a finger or a mouse hard, and screen readers now understand the box.
A warning before the automatic sign-out
Five minutes before you are signed out for inactivity, a warning offers to keep you signed in, and after signing back in you return to the same screen.
Forms take you to the error
When a save does not go through, the cursor jumps to the first field with an error. On the pages seamstresses and brides open on their phones, a lost connection shows that the action was not saved instead of an error screen.
Filter the diary, attendance and inventory by location
A shop with more than one location can filter the diary, the attendance page and the inventory by location, as in the dress list, and a new appointment is booked at the chosen location.
Search from the header
A search box in the product's header: a job number opens the dress, and a name or phone number opens the customer card when there is only one match.
One seamstress for every step
On a new dress you can pick a seamstress for all its steps, and on the dress page assign every open step to one seamstress at once.
Quick inquiry with a call-back date
A quick inquiry is saved with a date to get back to the bride, tomorrow by default, and the follow-up opens by itself for that day.
Morning digest by email
Owners and admins can get an email every morning with today's appointments, the events of the next two weeks and what is stuck. You turn it on in the reminder settings, and the dashboard loads faster.
From the consultation straight to closing the deal
Marking a consultation as done opens the close-the-deal steps right away while the bride is still an open inquiry. The appointment and task pages have quick status buttons.
A full week in the diary and a filter by staff member
The diary's week view shows all seven days, free ones included, with the booked times and a new-appointment button for each day, and you can filter the diary by who attends the appointment.
Every measurement saved with who measured
The bride card shows her details to read, with the form under Edit, the ready WhatsApp messages match the stage she is at, and every measurement is saved with the date and the name of who took it. A new guide explains what to record and what to have signed.
Notes and problems from the seamstress's phone
On the floor card on her phone, a seamstress can leave a note or report a problem on any step, and both show on the dress page. The card also shows the model's photo and the garment measurements.
The trial includes the Atelier modules
During the free trial the Atelier modules, such as outside workrooms and costing, are open even if you picked Salon. Once you pay for Salon they close, and what you entered in them is kept.
Support and export after the trial ends
When the free trial ends you can still contact support from inside the product and export your data. On sign-up the coupon field is folded away, and a link with a coupon code fills it in for you.
The yearly saving is shown at checkout
On the payment page, next to the yearly billing option, you see how much the chosen plan saves compared with 12 monthly payments.
Your logo and details on documents
Upload a logo and add a phone number and email in the settings, and they appear at the top of signed documents, the pages a bride opens and printouts.
Measurements in centimeters or inches
Each business picks whether measurements are taken in centimeters or inches, and the dress page shows every measurement in the other unit too.
Recurring expenses and supplier invoices
Mark an expense like rent or electricity as monthly, and the next month copy it over with one click. You can also attach the supplier's invoice to an expense.
Payments for alterations and an open balances report
A payment can be recorded against a specific alteration, and the alteration page shows what was paid and what is left. A new report lists every customer with a balance, and money owed back to a customer is shown as a credit, not a debt.
Tasks linked to a bride and a dress
A task can be linked to a bride and her dress, and the open tasks show on the bride card and on the dress page.
Two-step sign-in
In Settings, under Account security, any user can turn on two-step sign-in: after the password you type a code from an authenticator app on your phone.
Leaked passwords are refused
A password that appears in known data breaches is refused at sign-up and when changing a password. The password itself never leaves the system: only the first five characters of its hash are sent.
Hanger tags for alterations
Each alteration prints on one page: a tag with a QR code that stays on the garment, and a slip for the bride with what is being altered and when it will be ready.
First steps with progress
In a new account the dashboard shows what is already set up and what is left: the first bride, her consultation, the first dress and the seamstress.
Pages on payments, appointments and shop software
Three new pages on the website, in ten languages: what the product does with payments and what it does not, appointments and fittings with reminders, and what to look for in bridal shop management software.
Delivering a dress closes its pickup
Marking a dress as delivered closes its pickup appointment in the diary, and the confirmation shows any balance still to pay.
One button per step on the dress page
On the dress page each step has a single button, Start or Finish, and the rest of the details open only when you need them.
Mark what went to the accountant
In the accountant report you mark the date the files were sent up to, and see payments in that period recorded or canceled after you sent them.
Customer import keeps the event date
Importing customers from a file now also keeps the event date, venue, lead source, customer type and status.
Days with a missing clock-out are flagged
A work day with a clock-in and no clock-out, or the other way round, is flagged on the attendance page so a manager can fill in the time before the file goes to the accountant.
An email when your subscription starts
When a payment activates your subscription, you get an email saying the payment was received and the subscription is active.
Sign-ups are open to every shop
Any shop can sign up on its own and start a 14-day free trial without a credit card.
The whole website in ten languages
Every page of the website, guides and comparisons included, now exists in the same ten languages as the product.
A dress cost calculator
A free calculator in the dress-costing guide: price, materials, hours and overhead, and the margin you really keep.
Honest comparison pages
Comparisons with BridalLive and CloudBridal and a roundup of bridal shop software, every fact with its source and the date we checked it.
Your choice on website cookies
The website asks before it turns on analytics cookies, and you can change your choice from the link at the bottom of every page.
A demo shop open to everyone
A full sample shop with brides, dresses and a diary that you can look around without signing up.
Install it as an app on your phone
Add the system to your phone's home screen and open it like an app; a help page shows how.
A user guide inside the app
A step-by-step guide inside the system: 22 chapters, in ten languages.
Currency and time zone per shop
Each shop sets its currency, time zone and country, and prices, dates and times follow them.
GDPR privacy and a public DPA
The privacy policy covers the EU and UK GDPR, and the data processing agreement can be read on the website.
Ask support from inside the app
A support form inside the system that goes straight to the team that builds it.
